Life's Just Like That Cup Of Coffee

Monday, January 26

Woke up at 9am when i am supposed to wake up at 7plus. Saw dad sitting at the sofa watching channel newsasia when my elder sis is walking around 'fashion-showing' and my younger sis still in her dreamland.

Went to take my bath before waiting for my family to get ready to go down to grandma house for breakfast. As usual we would go down to grandma house to visit them and take our vegetarian breakfast (cooked by my PoPo :) before making our way down to Holland there to pay respect to my great grandparents.

This year is abit different because GongGong's no longer there with us and we have another place to go to. Went home to get some stuffs (Pineapple tarts for aunty WenQing and Love letters for MaMa ) before we took cab down to brighthill temple.

Well we thought it was going to be a smooth and fast process. But what awaits us is just a sea oh no it's an ocean of people and cars. It's the first time i see this place filled with people and cars. (partly because i dont go there often? )

I consider my trip there quite lucky cuz there were so much people and so much smoke coming from their incense sticks (small ones or thick ones ) my nose didnt get activated at all :) wanted to find GongGong's ash urn but due to some human errors we mistook block H for block C.

Stood outside for around 20minutes just to wait for cabs to Holland Avenue. By the time we reach there it's already 1.20pm. Had to rush abit cuz i am meeting my darling!

Due to the insufficient cabs on the road i decided to take the MRT back to Yishun to Sillygua's mama house for lunch. I reached there around 2.45pm. When i reach there there were so many people already there and baby's family were waiting for me to finish my lunch before we go visit her relatives.

I must say that MaMa's cooking is on par with Ah Ma's although i have been taking Ah Ma's dishes for so many years. Especially that bowl of dessert i really like it alot. Very smooth not too sweet and not too heavy.

shall continue tomorrow morning :) love my sillygua.

After lunch we with aunty Doris's family went visiting baby's relatives. Most of them were very welcoming and we exchanged handshakes even when we dont know each other. lol. Guess that's the influence of the Lunar new year.

We went back to baby's house for her to change her clothes before going over to Yishun Safra for a karaok session with MaMa they all. I have to leave early due to Jiaqi's birthday so didnt had the chance to sing along. (next year i will try to stay longer next time okie?)

Sunday, January 4

it's been sometime since i made my presence felt down here so going to do a small update about what's happening recently. went out with baby on the 23th Dec to celebrate our 8month anniversary.

started out with twilight @ amk hub (it's where we held our first date :) well it's quite alright for me but apparently for those who read the book series it's much more better? lol. wanted to get baby a stalk of rose (long time never buy for her) so rushed over to amk jubilee there to get it for her.

took mrt down to cityhall well the destination was supposed to be a 'secret' but baby's too clever so she knew where we were going. we went to esplanade where there are white balls for people to write down their new year wishes and releasing them onto the Singapore river.

after wishing the whole world the pink of health we went further on towards the 'surprise'...but never did i expect the 'surprise' to be a surprise for me too...the Singapore Flyer...yes due to some malfunction has stop it's service so there was no way for us to board it... (we will go another day i promise you :)

went over to marina square for dinner before going back to camp that night.

grandpa moved on peacefully after he was admitted to NUH for 1 month. it was quite a tough time for us especially my dad and me since we saw him moved on. (hope he's released from all his sufferings and can do what he always wanted to. do take care from now on grandpa :)

a series of prayers and rituals followed after his departure (he moved on but his spirit will always live in my heart and memory) and baby came over to accompany me. i really appreciate that my darling dearest. not to mention the help and concern from her parents and other people too. thanks to my campmates for took their time out to pay respect (hope grandpa give them lucky lucky :)

darling and i watched YESMAN which aspired me a little with a few sentences like 'saying yes opens you to more opportunities' it's quite true and i guess it's time for me to say yes a few more time. :)

accompanied baby to kallang for her chingay practice. it was a rather hot day and baby was feeling abit giddy after standing under the sun for sometime. mr.K was quite worried about her so gave her alot of water. luckily she feels better for the rest of the practice.

today morning baby and her mum went to sembawang park to join me and my family for yoga. i went for my usual morning jog (i cant do yoga unless you want me to break my back :) ran for 30+minutes before i went over to do some pull ups.

went over to the coffeshop opposite ah ma's house for breakfast with darling! hope there would be more chances to mingle together. :) went over to aunt's house to help her with the packing of her house.

when i entered the house i was like...'are you sure you all got do housechores...?' it was quite horrible...magazines and books it was practically everything all over the place...and it's omg so dusty...it's been sometime since i went to her house and i found my cousins sleeping.

give me that house and i can do alot of wonders to it. i was just imagining how would i decorate the house if i owned it. lol.
