Life's Just Like That Cup Of Coffee

Wednesday, April 29

i shall stop blogging about the trip first.
now the latest update about camp and about life.

camp:

Life's slack in camp as OC is in Taiwan. Peace for now. while the other guys are preparing for the upcoming exercises i try to help them as much as i can. quite relieved that the guys can manage the workload without much of my help. :)

life:

Life's pretty the same except for the fact that i am going out more often. trying to organise more outings for the guys as well as ex-classmates.

woke up at 4am and we are already preparing our luggages to go to Changi International Airport. we are flying over to Bangkok, Thailand for holiday. Took a cab down to airport and checked in our luggages. Saw this Angmo couple with a golden retriever inside a cage. i wish i can have 1 too. :)

went over to terminal 2 to get some stuffs to read on board. Boarded Thai Air Way flight no. TG402. It's been a few months since that trip to wallaby (it was a long journey though) this time we had chicken sausage with omelette for breakfast on board.

i had a blocked nose so i was rather resting on board in hope of it will go away so that i can enjoy quality time in Bangkok. Arrived in Bangkok International Airport in about 2hours and we took a shuttle bus to Siam Discovery Centre. We are going to stay in Novotel hotel which is located near to the shopping malls and the central skytrain too.
due to the shortage of rooms we had to wait for a hour before we can go to our room so we went to MBK for our lunch. it's my first time trying the local mee and it taste weird cuz it's like sweet?lol. Baby sure like the soup luh :) the sticky mango rice is super nice! a must try there.
went back to put our stuffs in the room and to our surprise the room was very spacious. there's a small lounge and the toilet is stylish too!(will put up pictures as soon i get them) For those who dont want to go shopping there are movies for you to choose (you gotta pay for them) and watch while your other partner goes shopping.

Took a cab to Baiyoke tower. Thing to note about the cabs in Thailand is that they do not i repeat they do not drive like singapore cabs. There are mainly 2 types of taxis in Thailand; one that charges according to the meter while you need to settle the fare amount before you board them. You need to pay in order to go up the tower to take an eagle's view of the city so we didnt go up. Instead we shopped around the flea market.

we had coca steamboat dinner which is like 2 minutes away from the hotel. It would definitely cost more to have it in singapore. It only cost 10bucks each?baby and her family enjoyed themselves there and i guess i made a right recommendation this time :)went down to the hotel's club downstairs (it's free entry for hotel guests) and played a few rounds of pool before we went up to rest. :)

Day2: DreamWorld Adventure!!!

woke up like super early and went down to the hotel's restaurant for breakfast buffet style :) i love american breakfast :) after the filling breakfast we went up to our room to empty the bowels (too much hao liaos le..) before going down to take a bus to our destination today: DreamWorld!!!argh~~~

actually i was abit worried because it's been so long since i went to amusement parks and most of the rides i never been on them before :S let's just say i am going to test myself today :) it's a 2 hour ride from the hotel to dreamworld so we took a short nap.okay~here we are:DreamWorld. It's roughly 30++bucks for the whole-day ticket(there are certain rides that has a limit otherwise the others are ride till you puke type :) what i can say is that the place is very popular with the students and tourists.

we went to warm up with the flying cars before we went to the raptor(above)it was quite fun especially when you feel yourself flying off while the thing spins and moves up and down.next we went over to the grandcanyon.
dont be fooled by the name it's just a ride that is determined to make you wet and guess what?i was the one who got wet the most. :( anyway we went for some dart games to dry ourselves at the same time.

Thursday, April 2

today's the 100th day GongGong passed away. (he passed away on christmas eve last year) and i wanted to wake up in when the sun's not even up yet to go for a run and help my grandma (if she needs any) but sad to say i am still in the sleeping mode as the weather was too nice to resist (i must start to work towards my goal! :D)

Woke up to find my parents asleep in the living room so didnt disturb them instead i went to do my business (never felt so good to do it in the morning :D ) came out to find my parents "alive" and had breakfast which was bread with kaya and my coffee :)

Dad talked to me about the investments he done for me and i am kinda interested in it. :) went down to grandma's shop at 10am. Grandma was busy with preparations and mum went to help while i went to the "frontline" to "fight" the customers.lol ok it's SERVE the customers :) how may i help you?

then grandma summoned uncle up to see if the preparations are ok and then we proceed with the ritual. each of us offered 3sticks of incense sticks and the ash urn is like full of sticks. :) then we proceed down to prepare to burn the paper money and stuffs. Here we have suits, money, lottery and many more "good stuffs" for GongGong (hope he gets them :)

After which we went back home to wash up before making a trip down to AngMoKio for some administrative work for the transfer of ownership of the HDB flat GongGong left behind. Dad didnt call up the firm and it happened to be the lunch hour so we stayed around the area till 2pm.

it seems like lawfirms really make alot of money. A little bit here and there and tadah $3500 please? but things still need to be done so gotta fork out the money.we went back to Yishun to meet Baby for lunch at XinWang.

As i promised my parents, i will bring them to XinWang for a meal to let them try the dishes there :) Dad ordered wanton mee,mum ordered fish slice congee, baby ordered her usual cheesy mushroom baked rice and i had fish slice hor fun. :) we got siew mais, beancurd skin rolls,a cup of homemade ice barley and snowy mango ice to go with the main courses.

we took dad and mum up to the japanese theme foodcourt and mum didnt know that it's a foodcourt that we could go in and walk around.lol.after that dad and mum went back first while i spent sometime with sillygua walking around and going to the arcade.we tried the punching bag game and i scored like 8300+?lol.have to aim where the bag have to hit 1 lol.

sent my darling back then spent sometime at her house playing with Mr.S (skippy whose fur has been reduced to only light brown and he look so small lol) baby slept beside for awhile before her dad fetched me to yishun MRT. (felt so good to have you beside me :)
